BEING JULIA : MAMA MIA

Oh it will be spring soon, and before you know it, you are going to need something floral!  I always love Meryl Streep's line in The Devil Wears Prada, "Florals for spring, groundbreaking' It's so true, but I couldn't help myself, I am a sucker for a good floral print!

JULES APPROVED: Colour-Blocking

1. HEELS // ZARA
"Don't wear black with navy" is somehow a fashion rule, but i'm sure we all know that colourblocking black and blue is totally okay! This heel is already colourblocked, but if you have a bold coloured heel, pair it with other brights or neutrals to do your own colourblocking .

2. PATTERNED SKIRT // BOOHOO
Patterns with solid colours are ways to colour block without clashing two bright or contrasting colours. Stay en-trend with monochrome and colour blocking with black and white patterns with solid colours.

3. BLOUSE // TED BAKER
Get ready for spring with some floral and baby pink! Slowly inch your way into full on floral during the winter to spring transition.

4. TIGHTS // FOREVER 21
Transform whatever you already have in your closet to a colourblocked outfit just by adding coloured tights. These come in any colour you can imagine, plus they're super inexpensive to experiment with.

5. SHADES // ASOS.com
Colourblocked sunnies are great for those that are stepping out of their comfort zone with bright colours. These sunglasses have colour on the inside, but still very chic and trendy.

6. NAIL VARNISH // ESSIE
Don't forget about the manicure! Not only can your clothes and accessories be colourblocked, your nails can follow the trend too. Plus, colourblocking is probably the easiest DIY manicure to do! (Tip: use tape.)

7. HAT // STAMPD
Having a bad hair day won't stop you from being fab! Have a go to beanie to conceal a bad hair day that can go with any outfit, or just to keep you warm and cozy.

8. BLUE MASCARA // DIOR
Use some colourful mascara on your lashes over your eye make up for a easy colourblocking make up look. Just swipe on like any other mascara and go!

9. BRIGHT PURSE // 3.1 PHILIP LIM
Contrast your outfit with a coloured purse. If your closet is already full of solid colours or bold patterns, and bag can help you colourblock for everyday outfits.

10. RAGLAN SLEEVE // PRELOVED
For more casual days, a raglan sleeve (AKA baseball sleeve) tee or dress is a great colourblocking option.

Jules Approved: Spring Must Haves

1. OMBRÉ TOP // GAP
Dip-dye seems like an undying cult favourite. The trend continues through spring and blouses like this a perfect for spring layering.
2. TRENCH COAT // VERO MODA @the bay
The classic trench holds a huge british vibe to it, mainly because of its rain repellant qualities. And even though we won't be expecting as much rain as the brits, its still good to rock a chic trench.
3. BRIGHT BAG // BANANA REPUBLIC
If you're not quite sure how to transition from gloomy winter to spring, start with a bright bag.
4. FUN PHONE CASE // H&M
Sometimes we forget the iPhone is a everyday accessory. Don't forget your iPhone needs to change her style between seasons too!
5. NAUTICAL STRIPES // ZARA
We've been seeing a lot of resort and nautical themes on the runway for Spring 2014, so add a bit of nautical scarf as a go to.
6. FLORAL EAU de TOILETTE // MARC JACOBS @sephora
Everyone has been raving about Marc Jacobs' Daisy perfume, and they just came out with the new Eau So Fresh. Switch it up this spring with a new perfume.
7. LIGHT KHAKIS // GAP
Light yellow trousers will brighten up your outfit, venture out to more colourful khakis after the winter.
8. PASTEL PINK // PRELOVED
Pastel colours are must haves for any spring, and will always be trendy. Pastel pink, blue, yellow or green are almost inevitable.
9. TOTE BAG // KLAUS HAAPANIEN @magic pony
The rabbit is probably the mascot for the season. If you're not into animal print on clothing, try it on a canvas tote!
10. FLORAL DRESS // MODCLOTH
Floral and spring come hand in hand (it only makes sense!).  With a wide selection of floral dresses out there, stock up on dresses with the perfect shape and print you love!
