Last Minute Halloween Prep!

It's hard to believe the month of October is almost over already... But before it ends we still have one more thing to look forward to... HALLOWEEN! As a proud mama of three and DIY queen, I get so excited to get the kids all dressed up every year (stay tuned to see their costumes). Halloween did sneak up fast though, so if you're in need of some quick treat, costume, and decor ideas, this is the post for you! All of these things are super easy and quick to make... aka mom and kid friendly.

TREATS:
Whether you're hosting a Halloween party or just making some snacks for your kids, these recipes are simple but tasty. They're super creative and fun to make... So get the kids involved! For more recipes, check out my Halloween board on Pinterest!

These creepy crawlers are very easy to make... They don't require the oven or any mixing, it can't get simpler than that! All you need are mini doughnuts, pretzels, icing and M&M's/Smarties. They're the perfect combination of salty and sweet, so delicious. Find step by step instructions on It'sAlwaysAutumn.

Parents should also be able to fun on Halloween night and have their own treats. If you want something to serve at a Halloween party or just something to sip on while watching Halloween movies, this pumpkin spice martini sounds so tasty. You can find the recipe on The Flaire Exchange.

COSTUMES:
Last week, I joined Steven and Chris to share some easy kid friendly DIY Halloween costumes. These costumes are made from objects you can find laying around the house or you can find at the dollar store. Once the costume is all made, the kids can wear them to school or on Halloween night. Check out the video here and get started on some last minute costumes!

DECOR:
Carving pumpkins is a fall tradition many families do, but it does get messy and take a lot of time. If you're wanting pumpkins on your doorstep this Halloween but don't have time to carve them, painting them is a great alternative! Check out ABeautifulMess's creative ideas on pumpkin painting!

If you're not going to be home on Halloween night to hand out candy, this candy holder is a perfect way to leave candy out for kids walking by. Plus it's a great decoration for outside your home! But I will admit that this craft takes a bit more time to do. It's worth it in the end though! Check out step by step instructions on ByStephanieLynn.

Hopefully these ideas help you with any last minute Halloween prep you have to do this week! For more ideas, check out my Halloween pinterest board. Do you have any Halloween treats, costumes, or decor ideas? Share in the comments below!
