Preloved Presents TWENTY with Kate Plummer from Sigg

SIGG was founded 100 years ago by Ferdinand Sigg. They originally manufactured household goods from aluminium such as bed and drinking bottles. Nowadays SIGG is spreading great design, quality and sustainability with their reusable water bottles.

Using reusable water bottles does wonders for your carbon footprint. One plastic bottle can take hundreds of years to decompose which flood up our landfills. Even the production of one plastic bottle uses energy, omits toxins and uses a lot more water to make than you can actually put into the bottle for drinking. Reusable bottles are durable, stylish and better for the environment and your health.

It was an absolute hoot having Kate Plummer come by our studio and make us laugh with her Zoolander poses, reminding me how much I love Charlie's Angels and joining me in a much needed dance off. We're so excited to have SIGG as one of our sponsors. To gain new supporters and friends on our 20th year in fashion makes it even more of a party.

Watch out for SIGG's amazing products at WMCFashion Week. For more information visit SIGG.com or follow SIGG on Instagram @siggnorthamerica

Kate wears the Logan coat and Vimy top underneath and Julia wears the Pearl top.

Last Minute Halloween Prep!

It's hard to believe the month of October is almost over already... But before it ends we still have one more thing to look forward to... HALLOWEEN! As a proud mama of three and DIY queen, I get so excited to get the kids all dressed up every year (stay tuned to see their costumes). Halloween did sneak up fast though, so if you're in need of some quick treat, costume, and decor ideas, this is the post for you! All of these things are super easy and quick to make... aka mom and kid friendly.

TREATS:
Whether you're hosting a Halloween party or just making some snacks for your kids, these recipes are simple but tasty. They're super creative and fun to make... So get the kids involved! For more recipes, check out my Halloween board on Pinterest!

These creepy crawlers are very easy to make... They don't require the oven or any mixing, it can't get simpler than that! All you need are mini doughnuts, pretzels, icing and M&M's/Smarties. They're the perfect combination of salty and sweet, so delicious. Find step by step instructions on It'sAlwaysAutumn.

Parents should also be able to fun on Halloween night and have their own treats. If you want something to serve at a Halloween party or just something to sip on while watching Halloween movies, this pumpkin spice martini sounds so tasty. You can find the recipe on The Flaire Exchange.

COSTUMES:
Last week, I joined Steven and Chris to share some easy kid friendly DIY Halloween costumes. These costumes are made from objects you can find laying around the house or you can find at the dollar store. Once the costume is all made, the kids can wear them to school or on Halloween night. Check out the video here and get started on some last minute costumes!

DECOR:
Carving pumpkins is a fall tradition many families do, but it does get messy and take a lot of time. If you're wanting pumpkins on your doorstep this Halloween but don't have time to carve them, painting them is a great alternative! Check out ABeautifulMess's creative ideas on pumpkin painting!

If you're not going to be home on Halloween night to hand out candy, this candy holder is a perfect way to leave candy out for kids walking by. Plus it's a great decoration for outside your home! But I will admit that this craft takes a bit more time to do. It's worth it in the end though! Check out step by step instructions on ByStephanieLynn.

Hopefully these ideas help you with any last minute Halloween prep you have to do this week! For more ideas, check out my Halloween pinterest board. Do you have any Halloween treats, costumes, or decor ideas? Share in the comments below!

An Apple A Day

We had our favourite Australians staying with us,  so we decided to take them on the perfect fall outing....apple picking!.  It was one of the best days I have had in a long time. The weather wasn't quite an Autumn day, but hey, who is going to complain when we get a mid 20's day in October!  The kids had a ball picking apples, losing the dog in the corn maze , finding the largest pumpkin in pumpkin patch, and spending so much needed time away from the hustle and bustle of the city!  I tell you, Tanya and I had a little too much fun tasting, (more like drinking)  all of the apple wine...who knew you could make wine out of apples?  Even better, was the Apple Bourbon.  Now that stuff could get ya into some trouble.  Well Tanya and Mitchell have headed back to Sydney, and the weather has officially tuned into fall, dare I say winter, but we still have one more apple pie in the freezer and I can't wait to have this weekend, and remember that an apple a day is what the doctor order...that or a shot of apple Bourbon!
Happy weekend all

Jules Approved: Fall Must Haves

1. STATEMENT SWEATER // PRELOVED
Cozy sweaters are always a fall must have. This Sadie sweater is made of vintage sweaters with a statement heart piece. It's also fully lined (but scratch free) to keep you warm in the chilly fall weather.

2. WOOL HAT // H&M
Not ready to say goodbye to summer yet? Update your summer floppy hat to a smaller, black wool hat to transform a summer trend to fall trend.

3. NECKLACE // ANTHROPOLOGIE
Chunky necklaces instantly make any outfit more feminine and romantic. They are the perfect way to add a pop of colour and sparkle to your casual appearance.

4. HIGH RISE JEANS // J BRAND
High rise jeans are a must have this season because of trending crop tops and crop sweaters... Not to mention tucking in the mummy tummy!

5. OVERSIZED CLUTCH // ROOTS
This casual bag is perfect for day or night. It double functions as a casual cross-body bag or a more formal oversized clutch. It's neutral and soft colours make it easy to wear regardless of the occasion.

6. SLINGBACK BOOTIE // ZARA
This pair of slingback booties spice up your usual pair of ankle boots. Cut outs at the back of the boot are very unique and trending this season. The best part is you can wear these boots with a dress or a pair of jeans... I haven't taken them off since I bought them.

7. LIPSTICK // CHARLOTTE TILLBURRY
Charlotte Tilburry's Matte Revolution lip offers many different shades but this dark, bold lip is a beauty must have this fall. Plus, Charlotte Tilburry just recently started being shipped to Canada so be one of the first to own her products!

8. EARRINGS // J. CREW
This pair of crystal bug earrings adds a little sparkle of personality to any outfit. They are the perfect size to be a statement piece but aren't distracting from the rest of your outfit.

9. LEATHER BOOTIES // STEVE MADDEN
Leather ankle boots hit the list again, but this time with a comfort focus. These little heels are comfortable to wear all day. The brown, plain colour is easy to match with but the quilted texture adds a little bit of flare.

10. QUILTED JACKET // PRELOVED
Anything quilted is very on trend this season. The Genie jacket is unlike any jacket you will find this fall. I'm especially loving the quilted arms, leather trim and cropped waistline.
